Amazon, in it’s September 2023 hardware event, announced the next iteration of the Echo Frames, which performs a variety of functions now.
Available in seven different frames, the second-generation Echo Frames have an improved battery life, support multipoint pairing and others. Priced at $270, Amazon didn’t mention it’s availability yet but asked interested people to sign up to be notified of pre-orders.
Amazon’s Updated Echo Frames
Though Amazon is primarily a service-based company, it’s also got a bunch of hardware offerings for the public to try. One among them is it’s Echo Frames smart glasses, which Alexa powers for hands-free digital works.
Though the first version of Echo Frames wasn’t a hit, Amazon unveiled the second generation of these smart glasses this week. Announcing it at the September hardware event, Amazon’s updated Echo Frames have an improved battery life of about six hours!
While this is one thing Amazon boasts of, we assume the battery life to be half what it mentioned on paper when tested in the real world, considering the first-gen glasses reviews. This aside, the new Echo Frames support multipoint pairing to connect them with two devices and easily switch the frames between both when needed.
With the help of Alexa, you can even ask the assistant to help find your glasses when they are missing. Priced at $269.99, the new smart glasses come in seven different frames, via modern rectangle, rectangle, round, square, cat eye, Carrera Cruiser and Carrera Sprinter.
Seemingly fashionable and reasonably priced, Amazon didn’t mention their availability yet! However, the company asked interested users to sign up to be notified about preorders when available.
