Alongside the Mix Flip, Xiaomi has unveiled the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, a book-style foldable device that succeeded last year’s Mix Fold 3. This new model competes with the recently released Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and other similar foldable devices. Notably, the Mix Fold 4 is remarkably slim and lightweight, despite its advanced features. Here are the detailed specifications of the device:

Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 Specifications:

The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 weighs just 229 grams and is impressively thin for a foldable device. When unfolded, it measures only 4.59 mm in thickness and 9.47 mm when folded. The device features a sleek curved frame design with the sides tapering into the aluminum frame.

It comes with a 6.5-inch LTPO OLED cover display offering an FHD+ resolution, a 21:9 aspect ratio, and a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The refresh rate can adjust between 1Hz and 120Hz based on the content being displayed.

The standout feature of this device is its 7.98-inch OLED main display, constructed from Ultra Thin Glass (UTG). This display also supports FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and boasts a peak brightness of 3000 nits. Like the cover display, the refresh rate on the main display can vary between 1Hz and 120Hz. It is the first Xiaomi foldable to have an IP68 water and dust resistance rating.

In line with this year’s competitive devices, the Mix Fold 4 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. It runs on HyperOS, built on Android 14, and includes a 5,100 mAh battery with 67W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging support.

The camera system features a Quad rear setup, including a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.7 aperture and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). This is accompanied by a 50MP telephoto lens with an f/2.0 aperture, a 10MP periscope lens with 5x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor with an f/2.2 aperture. For selfies and video calls, the device is equipped with two 16MP sensors, one on the cover display and another on the main display.

Pricing:

The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 is available in black, white, and blue. The pricing starts at CNY 8,999 (approximately $1,237) for the 12GB RAM/256GB storage variant, goes up to CNY 9,999 (about $1,375) for the 16GB RAM/512GB storage variant, and reaches CNY 10,999 (around $1,513) for the top-tier model with 16GB RAM and 1TB of storage.
