Reinventing the cable TV offering, Comcast announced a bundle consisting of Apple TV+, Netflix and Peacock for the US consumers, coming this summer.
While the exact launch date or pricing details are unknown, this announcement follows a similar revelation by Warner Bros. Discovery and Disney last week, that’s offering a Disney+, Hulu and Max combined.
A Bundled OTT From Comcast
Just when we thought the cable TV is dying, Comcast is trying to stay afloat with a package of popular on-demand services – which is a bundled OTT pack of Netflix, Apple TV+ and Peacock.
Announcing this package at a conference today, Comcast CEO Brian Roberts said the bundle’s cost would be “vastly reduced” compared to buying the three services separately. While he didn’t specify the exact price, he hinted the pack to be coming this summer, in the US.
This is similar to what Warner Bros. Discovery and Disney announced last week – a bundle of Disney+, Hulu and Max, coming to US consumers this summer. As we wait for the pricing details of both the packs, we appreciate the consolidated moves of cable companies – coming at a reduced price, which would otherwise be a headache for the consumers.
