Xiaomi MIX Flip

Since Motorola launched the first flip phones a few years back, every smartphone OEM has launched its flip-style smartphone except Xiaomi. Samsung is the only OEM that gained popularity in flip-style smartphones and is the market leader in this category. Xiaomi is now trying to get its luck in this category with the Xiaomi Mix Flip smartphone launch.

The first real-life image of Xiaomi Mix Flip smartphone surfaced online giving us the impression of how the smartphone will look when it launches. As far as the design is concerned, the device looks similar to the other flip-style smartphones that are available in the market.

Now, the Xiaomi Mix Flip leaked image shows that the design is similar to other flip folding devices. This is also because in this form factor, there is not much innovation required. There is nothing a manufacturer can change in flip folding devices.

Xiaomi MIX Flip

Xiaomi has done everything that is required in this type of smartphone especially after we have already seen many flip folding smartphones. However, Xiaomi has introduced its layout at the rear side. There is a rectangular-shaped camera island that houses the dual camera system and a dual-tone LED flashlight. For camera sensors, the company has placed two separate camera rings for each sensor. For this device, Xiaomi has also extended its partnership with Leica as the camera system in this device is developed in collaboration with Leica.

Underneath the camera island, there is a square-shaped external display that almost covers the entire top rear panel. Apart from the leaked image, there is not much information about the device surfaced online. However, as per some sources, the device will launch with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and it will offer 67W of fast wired charging. There might be a 50MP primary sensor in this device.

The company did not mince a word about the actual release date of the device yet. We expect that the device will launch along with the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 later this year.
