After announcing the Motorola Edge 50 series for the global market earlier this year, Motorola has announced the Moto Edge 2024 for the US market. The phone comes with upper mid-range specifications, including the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, and is priced at just $549. Check out the detailed specifications of the device below.
Moto Edge 2024 specifications:
The Moto Edge 2024 features a 6.6-inch pOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It supports HDR10+, 1 billion colors, and a peak brightness of 1300 nits under direct sunlight. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Under the hood is Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, manufactured on 4nm fabrication. The SoC is paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. There is no support for microSD cards to expand internal storage. The device launches in the single storage variant and runs on Android 14 out of the box.
The camera setup on this device includes a 50MP Sony LYT-700C primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization. There is also a 13MP ultrawide sensor with f/2.2 aperture. A 32MP front camera with f/2.4 aperture is housed in a center punch hole cut on the display for selfies and video calls. The rear camera can shoot video of 4K resolutions at 30 fps and 1080p at 30/60 fps. The front camera can shoot video of only 1080p at 30 fps.
Motorola claims that the Moto Edge 2024 users will “also have access to amazing editing and AI tools through Google Photos, including Magic Editor, Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, and Google Auto Enhance.”
The device also has a 5000 mAh battery with 68W fast wired charging and 15W wireless charging support. Other features include a USB Type C port, an under-display fingerprint scanner, and all sensors. It is available in only Midnight Blue and from June 20.
