OnePlus has launched OnePlus Nord 4 as the latest smartphone in its Nord series. It is a successor of last year’s OnePlus Nord 3. The budget smartphone was unveiled at the OnePlus summer launch event in Milan Italy where the OEM also launched other devices. The OnePlus Nord 4 is the rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 3V launched in China four months ago. Most of the specifications are the same but there is a difference in teh build and the design between the global and the Chinese variant. Check out the detailed specifications of the device below.
OnePlus Nord 4 specifications:
The device took inspiration from the OnePlus 3T. A dual camera system on the rear side aligned vertically similar to the one seen on the OnePlus 3T a few years back. The device has a 7.99mm metal body. The Chinese variant of the device had a completely plastic body. This is also the first time since the launch of the OnePlus 5T that the OEM has opted for an all-metal body.
On the front, the OnePlus Nord 4 features a 6.74-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Also, the display panel supports HDR10+, 2,150 nits of peak brightness, a pixel density of 450 PPI, and Aqua Tocuh technology. The Aqua touch technology helps users use the device even with wet hands. On top of the display is a Panda Glass protection.
Similar to the Chinese variant, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset at the helm of this device. This chipset will provide a significant boost in the performance of the device compared to its predecessor. The chipset is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 onboard storage. It runs on OxygenOS 14.1 on top of Android 14 out of the box.
This is also the first time that OnePlus brings tons of AI features to any of its devices. OnePlus Nord 4 has a plethora of AI features including AI Speak, AI Summary, and AI Writer. These features will make the user’s experience more effective and make the everyday task more easy.
On the rear side is a dual-camera system featuring a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary sensor with optical image stabilization. The primary sensor is paired with an 8MP ultra-wide sensor with a 112-degree field-of-view. For selfies and video calls, there is a 16MP shooter housed in a punch-hole cutout on the top center of the display.
The OnePlys Nord 4 is equipped with a 5,500 mAh battery with 100W SuperVOOC fast charging. This is by far the biggest battery in any of teh Nord series smartphones. The company claims that the device can be charged from 1% to 100% with the included charger in the box. There is also a OnePlus Battery health engine in the device. This feature uses AI to monitor and manage the battery’s internal cell capacity over time.
Pricing:
The device will be available in two storage options: 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage which is priced at £429/€499 and 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage which is priced at £529/€599. The smartphone is available in three colors that are Mercurial Silver, Oasis Green, and Obsidian Midnight shades.
