The Samsung One UI 6.1.1 update on the newly launched Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Z Flip 6 is now coming to more Samsung Galaxy devices with new features. Samsung launched One UI 6.0 update last year on top of Android 14 for its Galaxy devices. Earlier this year, the South Korean smartphone giant launched One UI 6.1 update with AI-focused features for its Galaxy device. The company will launch the One UI 6.1.1 update for a handful of Galaxy devices.
This One UI 6.1.1 update is smaller compared to the One UI 6.1 but still it has some new features especially AI-focused. However, as with the company’s previous update pattern, there is still one more update to come based on Android 14 which may be One UI 6.1.2. After that, the company will roll out the One UI update based on Android 15.
Samsung One UI 6.1.1 update for the Galaxy Devices:
Samsung has confirmed through its forum that the following devices will get the latest update. The list includes all the flagship Galaxy devices that launched from 2022 and onwards. The list includes:
- Galaxy S22/+/Ultra
- Galaxy Z Fold 4
- Galaxy Z Flip 4
- Galaxy Tab S8 series
- Galaxy S23/+/Ultra
- Galaxy Z Fold 5
- Galaxy Z Flip 5
- Galaxy S23 FE
- Galaxy Tab S9 series
- Galaxy S24/+/Ultra
The list didn’t include devices like the Galaxy S21 series, Z Fold 3, and the Z Flip 3 yet. We hope that the company will launch the update for these devices as it did earlier. Initially, Samsung includes limited devices that get the One Ui 6.1 update. Later, the company expanded its update horizon and included more devices that get the One UI 6.1 update.
What’s new coming in this update?
The One Ui 6.1.1 update comes on Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Z Flip 6 out of the box and it is a smaller update. There are some new AI-based features on the update as well as some big features like a watermark for AI creations.
In a blog post, Samsung confirms what new features are coming with this update.
The first new feature that the company mentioned is “Portrait Studio”. This feature can turn any picture of a person into a cartoon or sketch. Another feature that is similar to this one is called “Sketch to image”. And as the name suggests, it turns any rough hand-drawn sketches into an AI-generated image. The “Live Effect” feature can convert any 2D image into a 3D image.
The company is also adding a new option called “Motion Clipper” to “Editor”. This can turn any motion photos into a GIF when long-pressing the image. The “Cut” option can crop the image through a long press.
