After the release of One UI 6.1 for flagship Galaxy devices, Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 6.1 update on top of Android 14 for its mid-range Galaxy A series. However, one big caveat exists with the One UI 6.1 for the Galaxy A series.
The One UI 6.1 update based on Android 14 for the Galaxy A series doesn’t have Galaxy AI features. Galaxy AI is the buzzword this year for Samsung as it brings a lot of AI features to its flagship devices. But unfortunately, all of those Galaxy AI features are limited to Samsung flagship devices.
Samsung has already started rolling out the latest update based on Android 14 for the Galaxy A34 and the Galaxy A54 in select regions including the United States. Previously, the company rolled out the One UI 6.1 update for its Galaxy S23 series, S22 series, S21 series, Fold 4, Flip 4, and other flagship devices.
However, Samsung isn’t bringing Galaxy AI features to the Galaxy A series, like it did with the One UI 6.1 update for its Galaxy S series, the Fold and Flip devices of the previous two years.
According to Sammobile, the One UI 6.1 update for the Galaxy A series comes with better image editing in the Gallery app, a depth-of-field effect for your wallpaper, new lock screen widgets, additional customization options, more battery protection features, and a lot of other tweaks and changes throughout.
Unfortunately, Google’s Circle search is also not coming to the Galaxy A series with the latest update. The Circle to search is an interesting feature as it helps users find information by just marking a circle to anything that is on the display. However, this may not be as surprising as it looks as Samsung did not mention any of its plans to bring Galaxy AI to its budget devices.
The Galaxy S21 FE users also seem unlucky as Samsung did not bring the circle to search feature with the latest Android 14-based update for the Galaxy S21 FE. The update for the Galaxy S21 FE already started rolling out for users earlier this week.
