After the Infinix GT 10 Pro series, Tecno is gearing up to release the Pova 5 series, which will feature a design reminiscent of the Nothing Phone 2, complete with glowing LED lights on the rear side. “Nothing”, a London-based tech start-up founded by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, unveiled the Nothing Phone 2 earlier this month as a successor to the Nothing Phone 1, both devices showcase a unique design with LED lights on the rear side known as “Glyph lights”.
It has now come to light that Tecno will be the second smartphone brand to imitate Nothing’s Glyph lights on it’s Pova 5 series. Earlier, it was leaked that the Infinix GT 10 series would also feature LED lights on the rear side. Interestingly, both Infinix and Tecno are part of the Hong Kong-based electronics manufacturer, “Transition Holding”.
Regarding the upcoming Tecno Pova 5 series, the LED lights surrounding the camera module will converge at a common juncture, forming what Tecno calls the “Arc Interface”. These LED lights will function primarily as notification indicators, producing various animations when users receive calls or notifications.
The news about the Tecno Pova 5 series was leaked by the Indian tipster Ishan Agarwal on his Twitter account. Following the leak, the device’s Amazon page went live, suggesting that the phone might be exclusive to Amazon.
Exclusive: This is your first look of #ArcInterface from an upcoming @TecnoMobileInd POVA series smartphone.

While the design of the Pova 5 series is inspired by the Nothing Phone 2, Tecno has not entirely copied Nothing’s approach. There are significant differences between the designs of these devices. Notably, the rear panel of the Tecno Pova 5 series is not completely transparent, unlike the Nothing Phone 2. The “Arc Interface” surrounds only the camera module and does not cover the entire rear panel like the Phone 2.
The series will comprise two devices: the Tecno Pova 5 Pro and the standard Pova 5. The Pro model will feature a massive 7000 mAh battery with 67W wired fast charging support, while the standard Pova 5 will come with a 6000 mAh battery that supports 45W wired fast charging. Both devices will sport a 120Hz FHD display and will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, indicating that these phones are targeted toward the budget segment.
It is important to note that the details mentioned above are based on leaks and the official design and specifications will be confirmed once Tecno officially unveils the devices.
