Twitter is finally adding Stories to it’s platform, but with a great catch of limiting it to only it’s Premium users.
The platform on Twitter confirmed that all Telegram users can view Stories, but only Premium users can post them. Though it’s limited, Telegram gives a host of flexibility options to the posters, like setting viewing restrictions, time limit for disappearance, adding context and links etc.
Telegram Stories Support
Though Telegram is touted as the best instant messenger, it lacked one key feature that it’s rivals has – Stories. Started by Snapchat, the 24-hour Story concept was gradually adopted by many other messengers today, except Telegram.
Well, the platform is doing it now, after confirming late last month. A Twitter user noted this addition in the side bar menu, where a dedicated section is allotted for interacting with Stories. Though it’s available for everyone, the ability to post Stories is only limited to Telegram Premium subscribers.

Though it’s limited, the feature offers a lot of flexibility, as noted by it’s founder Pavel Durov last month. Some of which include;
- Privacy: Your Stories’ visibility can be limited to Everyone, Only your contacts(with exceptions), Few selected contacts or a List of Close Friends.
- Captions: You can add captions, links and tag other people in your Story to make it more resourceful and understanding.
- Ephemerality: You can make your stories disappear in 6 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours, 48 hours, or even be displayed permanently.
- Dual camera support: You can post Stories(photos and videos) from your phone’s front and rear cameras simultaneously.
- Reposting: You can repost content from your channels as Stories, helping to get a better reach.
Update your Telegram app to see this addition, available in the side menu bar.
