To let your loved ones know which Tinder date you’re meeting next, the platform introduced a new feature called Share my Date – that lets your circle know the details of the event.
The shared link will have the date location, time, a photo of the person you’re meeting with and their profile link. You can also add some notes to express more details. This feature is rolling out to everyone around the world in the coming months.
Sharing My Next Date Details
While Tinder is a fine place to find new people, it’s often still risky to meet an unknown individual. Thus, people tend to share their details with their close ones before going out on a date. Understanding this need, Tinder made a new feature called “Share my Date“, which allows people to share details about their next date right from the app.
The built-in feature will have the location details, date, time, photo of the person you’re meeting with and a link to their profile. The page can include some additional notes too, which you can edit whenever you want and have it updated automatically. And those who’re lucky to have numerous dates, can share unlimited links.
This is similar to Match.com’s feature back in 2020, that allow users to share details of their date to emergency contacts in distress situations. Tinder is rolling out the ‘Share My Date’ feature to users in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Singapore, India, Ireland, Germany, France, Spain, Japan, Brazil, Switzerland, Mexico, Netherlands, Italy, Korea, Vietnam and Thailand, in the coming months.
